The Leica Noctivid 8×42 is a premium binocular designed to deliver exceptional clarity and colorimetric neutrality, while also featuring a robust and compact build.
Design and features
Its lightweight magnesium chassis, wrapped in a non-slip rubberized coating, ensures a secure grip. The double-hinge design (open-bridge) naturally distributes the weight, reducing fatigue during extended use. A class 8 varnished shell protects the exposed metal parts.
The optical framework consists of 12 SCHOTT HT glass elements (High Transmission), combined with multiple multi-layer coatings and P40 phase-correction prisms, ensuring high transmission, suppression of stray light, and faithful color reproduction.
An internal diaphragm system (baffles) limits reflections, while the HighLux System technology promotes a balanced spectral response of the light.
The external lenses feature the AquaDura® coating, which repels dirt and fingerprints and makes cleaning easier.
Available in classic black and in a special Olive Green edition to suit observers’ aesthetic preferences.
