Captain Cook Discover Red
The Captain Cook Discover Red reinterprets the Captain Cook collection in a 40.7mm case made of polished black high-tech ceramic. Its sunray-finish dial features a gradient from black to red. It is complemented by applied yellow-gold-coloured indexes, skeletonised hands and Rado’s characteristic moving anchor.
The model combines a ceramic construction with an R763 automatic mechanical movement, an 80-hour power reserve and water resistance of up to 150m.
Design and features
The polished black high-tech ceramic case measures 40.7mm in diameter and 12.3mm in thickness. It incorporates crown protection, a screw-down ceramic crown and a fixed bezel in polished black high-tech ceramic.
The black and red gradient dial features a sunray finish. The applied yellow-gold-coloured indexes and skeletonised hands are equipped with white Super-LumiNova® to improve legibility. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial.
The three-link bracelet continues the ceramic construction, with matte black outer links and polished black central links. It is paired with a titanium triple-folding clasp with quick adjustment in three positions.
Movement and performance
The Captain Cook Discover Red is powered by the 25-jewel R763 automatic calibre. This movement offers an 80-hour power reserve and incorporates a Nivachron™ antimagnetic hairspring. The movement is adjusted in five positions.
The screw-down crown and screw-down case back contribute to water resistance rated at up to 150m. The transparent sapphire crystal and titanium case back allows the movement to be observed.
