Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph 42mm
The Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph 42mm represents the technical evolution of the PRX collection. Built on the three-hand PRX model, it retains the same design — a steel tonneau case and integrated bracelet — while adding an in-house automatic chronograph movement from Swiss watchmaking.
Design and features
The chronograph version of the PRX stands out with three integrated counters on the dial and a 42 mm case, slightly thicker to accommodate the Valjoux movement.
The design remains true to the PRX line: a 316L stainless-steel tonneau-shaped case and a slim bezel for a flat, uniform look. The integrated steel bracelet keeps the characteristic wide brushed links, ensuring visual continuity and comfort.
The dial, offered in a gradient green, blue, white, or white panda, features contrasting counters and hands coated with Super-LumiNova®. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the whole, while a transparent case back lets you observe the movement.
Movement and performance of the Tissot PRX Automatic Chronograph 42mm
At the heart of the PRX Automatic Chronograph 42mm beats the Swiss Valjoux A05.H31 movement, with a 60-hour power reserve. This high-precision automatic calibre powers the 12-hour, 30-minute, and 60-second chronograph functions, with a skeletonized rotor visible through the transparent case back.
The Nivachron™ balance spring offers excellent resistance to magnetic fields, ensuring the movement’s reliability in all conditions.
